Ongoing writing workshops in Westwood. Get yourself on the publishing track!

Two exciting writing groups lead by critically acclaimed author, writing consultant, and UCLA extension writer's program instructor, Linzi Glass, are held weekly in Westwood.

If you've always wanted to write a story (or memoir), or if you've already begun a novel, memoir, children's, or young adult book but need guidance, feedback, and motivation, then this is the perfect workshop to keep you focused and moving forward in your creative process.

Writing groups meet once a week for three hours either on Monday mornings from 10:30am–1:30pm or Wednesday mornings from 10:30pm–1:30pm. The Monday group is for adult fiction and memoir writers and the Wednesday group is for children's and young adult writers.

Writers will be expected to bring in their pages to read each week and will also be guided in advancing their understanding of the craft of writing. Plot, conflict, character development and arc, dialogue, and creating a story scene by scene will all be covered and discussed.

The goal of these ongoing workshops is to have each writer gain confidence in their own unique style and voice and to reach their creative goals.
